DESIGN STATEMENT: I want to focus on how to create an atmosphere of “privacy” when you have to live in a two story house with others. Especially in the pandemic period, many people forced to find roommates to reduce their rental payment. This moveable staircase allows you to seperate the two floors and enjor your own time. The stairs is controlled by a gear and it can move along the curved-track to cover the gap and become a part of the ceiling.

Mechanical detail drawings are very clear.
It’s good that you have multiple points of attachment for the stairs.
How much force would it take to lift a staircase? There might need to be more mechanical assistance behind the wall.
